Word in the street: postcapitalism

I recently asserted that I’m unwilling to accept the status quo of our social organization, yet do not want to slip back into old debates. Here’s a suggestion: how about

postcapitalism

as a new word to describe the thing that’s going to come after our current economic system? For yes, we have the wrong measures, the wrong outlook on things, and our accounting is deeply flawed, not only in finance, but in all sorts of areas. There are studies on postmodernism, but none so far on postcapitalism. Let’s change that – let’s think about how we want to live in a constructive, unbiased way. Let’s stop playing games with our future.
